60th Annual Easter Sunrise Service
KIWANIS CELEBRATES THEIR 60TH ANNUAL EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE
6:30am, April 20,2025 at the Manatee County Public Beach 4000 Gulf Dr. Holmes Beach.
Our Island has been through a lot this year with a tropical storm and two hurricanes but we are “Anna Maria Strong” and proud to be able to come together and celebrate for our 60th anniversary of the Kiwanis of Anna Maria Island Easter Sunrise Service with our Island churches.
The crowd normally numbers 1200-2000 people. There is ample parking. Trolley will be up and running at 6:00am. The Anna Maria Beach Café will also open at 6:30am if you need that cup of java. Bring chairs or a blanket to sit on and dress to the weather.
It is truly an uplifting service as the Island churches participate. Rev. Father Phillip Schweda of St. Bernard’s Church will deliver this year’s sermon. Belinda Strickland of the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation will offer the invocation. Dirk Rodgers of Roser Church will deliver the offertory and benediction. Rev. Stephen King of Harvey Memorial will deliver scripture readings.
Inspirational Easter music for singing will be provided by Morgan Bryant. All are welcome to join in.
Come and share this celebration on the beach as we show our gratefulness for this Island, we call our Paradise. The Offertory collected will be divided among the Island Churches and the Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria for their SCF Key Club Scholarship program and other Club programs benefiting the community.

The Club meets Saturday mornings. All meetings are open to visitors and guests.
