Kiwanis of Anna Maria Island

Club Information

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  The Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria Island was established in 1952 & held its meetings at the Anna Maria Elementary School until 1964.  At that time, the Manatee County Commission asked the Club to manage the Pavilion at the Manatee County Public Beach, which it did for the next 20 years.  Money earned from the operation was used to benefit Island Benevolences such as beach equipment, scholarships, Little League, AMI Elementary School and the Island Community Center.  The Club now meets at the Gulf Drive Café in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island every Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

In 1983 the Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria Island Foundation was chartered.  It is designed to provide a safe means to invest funds & make disbursements to significant service and educational organizations in Manatee County.  The Club continues to meet & grow and provide funding, mentoring & assistance to the area youth in all areas.  It will celebrate its 70th anniversary in October 2022.

All meetings are open to visitors and guests—casual attire.

The Club meets Saturday Mornings 8:30 AM at
